Before joining the Office of Student Conduct, Karlee's background was in longitudinal qualitative studies and social sciences research at a Behavioral Economics and Decision-Making Lab for UC Riverside's School of Business. At UC San Diego, she has worked in several roles to support Student Affairs Case Management, International Research Hub, Basic Needs Hub, International Students and Scholars Office, and Seventh and Eighth College.
Today, Karlee supports the policy development, implementation, and analysis of the Student Conduct Procedures, Residential Life and Community Standards, Policies Applying to Campus Activities, Organizations, and Students (PACAOS), various policies under the Policy and Procedure Manual, and hazing policies on the local, state, and federal level. She also leads the efforts for student organization non-academic misconduct cases. Karlee is currently completing her graduate studies at the Johns Hopkins University for Education Policy. Her favorite part about working at San Diego is analyzing how the policies reflect the evolving needs of students.
